GENDER SENSITIVITY: VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ENDS WITH YOU
TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR YOUNG MEN IN THAILAND MAY 9-10 2009

The United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) East and South-East Asia Regional Office in Bangkok is now accepting applications for a special training workshop for men titled “Gender Sensitivity: Violence against Women Ends with YOU”.

This workshop is aimed at providing gender sensitivity training to young men, addressing issues of sexuality, gender, sexual harassment and exploitation through prostitution and trafficking of women and children.
Selected candidates will attend a 2-day training workshop on May 8-10 with all expenses paid by UNIFEM including hotel accommodation and meals.

Application Guidelines

The successful candidate will be:

1.Committed to promoting gender equality and interested in human rights issues
2.A current university student in good academic standing
3.Male age 18-24
4.Able to command English
5.We recommend that interested students contact the UNIFEM office for further guidance on the application process.
